Course details
The HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course equips you with essential skills to respond to first aid emergencies, covering critical protocols, CPR techniques, and injury management. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, both of which are nationally recognised.
Once enrolled in the workshop, you will get instant access to the e-learning module and knowledge questions. This pre-work must be completed before attending the practical session.
Delivery mode
Blended Delivery: This course combines self-paced online learning (e-Learning) with face-to-face training and assessment.
. e-Learning: Participants will complete the online module and knowledge questions at their own pace before attending the practical session.
· Face-to-Face Training and Assessment: The practical assessment will be conducted at our Northbridge training facilities. The face-to-face training and assessment session lasts 4 hours.
Duration
Online Module:
Participants should allocate up to 6 hours to complete the online module, though this can vary depending on English proficiency and individual learning pace. Many participants find they are able to complete the module in a shorter timeframe.
Face-to-Face Training and Assessment:
The face-to-face training and assessment session lasts 4 hours. Additional support is available on the day for students who may need extra assistance to ensure they can successfully complete the course.
Eligibility
Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Requirements: Effective communication is crucial for safety in first aid situations. To enrol in this course, you must have a conversational level of English. During the assessment, you must be able to understand instructions, clearly answer questions, and engage in discussions in English. You will also need to read and understand signs and procedures, as well as write brief notes and complete basic forms.
Physical and Psychological Requirements: Participants must be physically and psychologically able to complete practical tasks during applicable training sessions, such as getting on the floor and performing CPR on child and adult mannequins. If not, you will only receive a statement of attendance instead of an accredited certificate.

The practical workshops are conducted at our training facilities in Northbridge.
