How much does heights training cost in Perth?
$280 for the one-day face-to-face course, or $190 for blended (online theory, then a half-day practical). Both are GST free and include all harness and fall-arrest gear.
How long does the course take?
Face to face is one day at our Malaga facility. Blended is around 4 to 6 hours of self-paced online theory, finished before a half-day practical.
Is a heights ticket a licence?
No. There's no government licence for working at height. Sites ask for the RIIWHS204E Statement of Attainment, which is what you get when you pass. Operating a boom-type elevating work platform with a boom of 11 metres or more is separate and needs a high risk work licence.
Can I do it all online?
The theory, yes. The practical, no. You have to show a trainer you can fit a harness and work at height safely, so every option finishes with hands-on assessment in Malaga.
Where is the training held?
7 Montgomery Way, Malaga WA 6090, a few minutes from Reid and Tonkin Highways, with limited free parking on site. All heights training runs from Malaga.
How long does my ticket last?
The Statement of Attainment doesn't expire, but industry practice is to refresh every two years and your site may ask for it. If yours is less than two years old, the half-day refresher is the quicker option.
Does the course cover SWMS?
On a construction site, work where someone could fall more than 2 metres needs a Safe Work Method Statement. The course trains you to spot fall hazards and control them before you go up, which is what a SWMS sets out, so you'll understand the one you're asked to follow.
What do I need to bring?
Your USI, photo ID and lunch, as the course isn't catered. Wear long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and steel-cap boots.
