- Effective communication is crucial for safety in the construction industry therefore to enrol in this course you must have a conversational level of English. During the assessment, you must be able to understand instructions, clearly answer questions, and engage in discussions in English. You will also need to read and understand signs and procedures, as well as write brief notes and complete basic forms.
