Course Overview

Traffic control work in WA needs Main Roads WA accreditation, not just a certificate. This course trains you to set up and monitor traffic management signs and devices, direct traffic safely with a stop/slow bat, and work to Main Roads WA and Australian Standard requirements.

Training runs at our Northbridge centre with practical sessions at an approved live work zone, so you are assessed doing the real job rather than just the theory. On successful completion you receive a Statement of Attainment for each unit and a Main Roads WA Certificate of Accreditation and wallet card.

Entry Requirements

To enrol in this course, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Valid full driver's licence (Australian or overseas, not a learner's permit)
  • Current White Card, or choose the combo option that includes it
  • Steel toe cap boots and weather-appropriate clothing for the practical days
  • Unique Student Identifier (USI) - free to create at usi.gov.au
  • Able to speak English at a level that allows safe participation on a live work site

Course Structure
