Yes — you'll need to be physically able to work at heights and use fall protection equipment as part of the practical assessment. If you have any concerns about the physical requirements, contact us before enrolling and we'll talk it through with you.
Pricing is shown as 'Contact us' because it can depend on whether you're booking as an individual or a group. Get in touch and we'll give you a quote, let you know upcoming dates, and go through any funding options.
CTF (Construction Training Fund) subsidies may apply for eligible WA construction workers and can reduce your course fee. Contact us before enrolling and we'll help you check your eligibility, or you can read more at ctf.wa.gov.au/funding. We also offer payment plans if you'd like to spread the cost.
Our courses are delivered on a non-CRICOS basis, which means they're intended as short courses rather than a main program of study. If you're on a student visa, you're welcome to enrol as long as your visa conditions allow you to undertake an additional short course. We'd recommend confirming this with the Department of Home Affairs before you enrol.
Yes. If you already have relevant skills and experience, you may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer, which can reduce your study time. Contact us and we'll talk through whether it's an option for you and what evidence you'd need to provide.
A valid photo ID and suitable work clothing and footwear, plus any PPE you have. We'll confirm exactly what to bring when you book, as it can vary with the training location.
Because this course prepares you for work on real sites, we ask that students be at least 16, and anyone under 18 will need consent from a parent or guardian. If you're unsure, contact us and we'll help.
Our courses do need a working level of English, since you'll need to understand safety instructions and take part in the practical work and complete the assessment. To make sure the course is the right fit and that you'll be well supported, we offer a quick language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) check over the phone before you start. If the check shows you'd benefit from extra support, we'll go through the options with you so you can complete the course with confidence.
Yes. A USI (Unique Student Identifier) is a free reference number that every student undertaking nationally recognised training in Australia must have. It's a lifetime record of your training, so all your qualifications and Statements of Attainment are stored in one place. You'll need one before we can issue your certificate — you can create your own for free at usi.gov.au.
Yes. On successful completion you'll receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS204E (Work safely at heights), recognised by employers and regulators right across Australia.
Once you've completed the assessment and we've verified your USI, we'll issue your Statement of Attainment — usually within a few days, by email. Keep an eye on your inbox (including your junk folder).
Your Statement of Attainment doesn't expire. However, many employers and sites require a working-at-heights refresher periodically (often every couple of years) to keep your skills current — so it's worth checking what your site requires.
We collect and store your personal information only for the purposes of delivering your training, issuing your certificate, and meeting our legal obligations as a Registered Training Organisation. We're required to report certain information to government bodies — including your USI and training results — and we handle your information in line with our Privacy Policy. You can read the full policy on our website, and you're welcome to contact us with any questions about your information.
We take all concerns seriously and aim to resolve them fairly. If you're unhappy with any part of your experience, or you'd like to appeal an assessment decision, you can let us know and we'll follow our Complaints and Appeals process. The full process — including how to submit and what to expect — is set out in our Complaints and Appeals Policy on our website. You won't be disadvantaged for raising a concern.
Your course fee covers up to 3 assessment attempts at no extra charge. If you haven't achieved a satisfactory result after 3 attempts, you're welcome to re-enrol in the course to try again — the standard course fee applies to the new enrolment.
