For eligible interstate traffic accreditation holders seeking to transfer their tickets for recognition in Western Australia.
To enrol in this course, you must meet the following requirements:
This qualification may lead to the following career opportunities. Please note: completion of training does not guarantee employment.
Already have skills and experience? You may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer to reduce your study time.
Learn about RPLIt's a one-day face-to-face course for eligible interstate traffic accreditation holders who want their tickets recognised in Western Australia. Because you already hold accreditation, it bridges the gap rather than starting from scratch.
You'll need existing interstate traffic management accreditation, a valid driver's licence, and a White (or Blue) Card. You'll also need evidence of working on at least 3 traffic worksites — unless you completed your accreditation within the last 6 months. Contact us before enrolling and we'll confirm your eligibility.
Because the right pathway depends on the units you already hold, pricing is shown as 'Contact us'. Get in touch with your current accreditation details and we'll give you a quote and confirm exactly what you need.
CTF (Construction Training Fund) subsidies may apply for eligible WA construction workers and can reduce your course fee. Contact us before enrolling and we'll help you check your eligibility, or you can read more at ctf.wa.gov.au/funding. We also offer payment plans if you'd like to spread the cost.
Our courses are delivered on a non-CRICOS basis, which means they're intended as short courses rather than a main program of study. If you're on a student visa, you're welcome to enrol as long as your visa conditions allow you to undertake an additional short course. We'd recommend confirming this with the Department of Home Affairs before you enrol.
A valid photo ID, your driver's licence, your White (or Blue) Card, evidence of your interstate accreditation, and evidence of your 3 traffic worksites (if required). Bring steel-cap boots and weather-appropriate clothing for the practical component.
As this course is for people who already hold interstate traffic accreditation and a current driver's licence, it's aimed at those already working in the industry. Contact us if you have any questions about your situation.
Our courses do need a working level of English, since you'll need to understand safety instructions and follow WA traffic management procedures and complete the assessment. To make sure the course is the right fit and that you'll be well supported, we offer a quick language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) check over the phone before you start. If the check shows you'd benefit from extra support, we'll go through the options with you so you can complete the course with confidence.
Yes. A USI (Unique Student Identifier) is a free reference number that every student undertaking nationally recognised training in Australia must have. It's a lifetime record of your training, so all your qualifications and Statements of Attainment are stored in one place. You'll need one before we can issue your certificate — you can create your own for free at usi.gov.au.
Yes. On successful completion you'll receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the units covered, along with the Main Roads WA recognition you need to work on WA roads. The exact units depend on what you already hold.
Once you've completed the assessment requirements and we've verified your USI, we'll issue your Statement of Attainment (by email) and arrange your Main Roads WA Certificate of Accreditation and wallet card. Keep an eye on your inbox, including your junk folder.
Once recognised in WA, your Main Roads WA Certificate of Accreditation is valid for 3 years, and you'll need to re-accredit before it expires to keep working on WA roads. Your nationally recognised Statement of Attainment doesn't expire.
We collect and store your personal information only for the purposes of delivering your training, issuing your certificate, and meeting our legal obligations as a Registered Training Organisation. We're required to report certain information to government bodies — including your USI and training results — and we handle your information in line with our Privacy Policy. You can read the full policy on our website, and you're welcome to contact us with any questions about your information.
We take all concerns seriously and aim to resolve them fairly. If you're unhappy with any part of your experience, or you'd like to appeal an assessment decision, you can let us know and we'll follow our Complaints and Appeals process. The full process — including how to submit and what to expect — is set out in our Complaints and Appeals Policy on our website. You won't be disadvantaged for raising a concern.
Your course fee covers up to 3 assessment attempts at no extra charge. If you haven't achieved a satisfactory result after 3 attempts, you're welcome to re-enrol in the course to try again — the standard course fee applies to the new enrolment.
