Already have skills and experience? You may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer to reduce your study time.
Learn about RPLIt's a complete entry-level pathway into traffic management. You complete your White Card theory online first, then attend 3.5 days of face-to-face traffic management training, including practical outdoor assessment at an approved worksite (generally in Malaga).
Three things: a WorkSafe WA White Card, a Main Roads WA Certificate of Accreditation with a wallet card, and a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the units covered. It's designed to take you from no tickets to job-ready for traffic work.
It's ideal if you're new to the traffic management industry and don't yet have a White Card. If you already hold a current White Card, our standard BWTM + TC course may suit you better — contact us and we'll point you to the right one.
CTF (Construction Training Fund) subsidies may apply for eligible WA construction workers and can reduce your course fee. Contact us before enrolling and we'll help you check your eligibility, or you can read more at ctf.wa.gov.au/funding. We also offer payment plans if you'd like to spread the cost.
Our courses are delivered on a non-CRICOS basis, which means they're intended as short courses rather than a main program of study. If you're on a student visa, you're welcome to enrol as long as your visa conditions allow you to undertake an additional short course. We'd recommend confirming this with the Department of Home Affairs before you enrol. Note that the White Card component (CPCWHS1001) is one of our approved short courses for student visa holders.
If you already hold traffic management accreditation, you may not need the full course — ask us about our Re-accreditation and Interstate Bridging pathways. Otherwise this combined course is the most straightforward way in.
A valid photo ID and driver's licence, steel-cap boots for the practical days, and weather-appropriate clothing. You'll also need a device with internet access to complete the online White Card module before the face-to-face days. We provide sunscreen, ponchos and all PPE for the White Card component.
You'll need a current driver's licence to enrol, and traffic control is live worksite work, so students need to be at least 16. Many employers require workers to be 18 or over.
Our courses do need a working level of English, since you'll need to complete the online module, understand safety instructions and follow traffic management procedures and complete the assessment. To make sure the course is the right fit and that you'll be well supported, we offer a quick language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) check over the phone before you start. If the check shows you'd benefit from extra support, we'll go through the options with you so you can complete the course with confidence.
Yes. A USI (Unique Student Identifier) is a free reference number that every student undertaking nationally recognised training in Australia must have. It's a lifetime record of your training, so all your qualifications and Statements of Attainment are stored in one place. You'll need one before we can issue your certificate — you can create your own for free at usi.gov.au.
Yes. You'll receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the units covered, a WorkSafe WA White Card, and a Main Roads WA Certificate of Accreditation and wallet card — all recognised by employers and regulators.
Once you've completed the online and face-to-face assessment requirements and we've verified your USI, we'll issue your Statement of Attainment (by email), your WorkSafe WA White Card, and your Main Roads WA Certificate of Accreditation and wallet card. Keep an eye on your inbox, including your junk folder.
Your White Card doesn't expire (though it becomes invalid after two or more years out of the construction industry), and your Statement of Attainment doesn't expire either. Your Main Roads WA Certificate of Accreditation is valid for 3 years, and you'll need to re-accredit before it expires to keep working on WA roads.
We collect and store your personal information only for the purposes of delivering your training, issuing your certificate, and meeting our legal obligations as a Registered Training Organisation. We're required to report certain information to government bodies — including your USI and training results — and we handle your information in line with our Privacy Policy. You can read the full policy on our website, and you're welcome to contact us with any questions about your information.
We take all concerns seriously and aim to resolve them fairly. If you're unhappy with any part of your experience, or you'd like to appeal an assessment decision, you can let us know and we'll follow our Complaints and Appeals process. The full process — including how to submit and what to expect — is set out in our Complaints and Appeals Policy on our website. You won't be disadvantaged for raising a concern.
Your course fee covers up to 3 assessment attempts at no extra charge. If you haven't achieved a satisfactory result after 3 attempts, you're welcome to re-enrol in the course to try again — the standard course fee applies to the new enrolment.
