Hold a WA Blue Card? Upgrade to the nationally recognised WorkSafe WA White Card with our short bridging course – designed for experienced construction workers already in the industry.

Illness or Exceptional Circumstances – Transfers may be granted for illness with a medical certificate. Exceptional circumstances are assessed case-by-case.

BLUE CARD TO WHITE CARD BRIDGING COURSE

If you hold a WA Blue Card and have been working in the construction industry, this course allows you to upgrade to the WorkSafe WA White Card by completing a short bridging program.

This course is designed to update your knowledge and ensure you meet current workplace health and safety requirements under the WHS Act.

The training focuses on:

  • Bridging the gap between the old OHS Act and the current WHS Act
  • Updating your understanding of workplace safety responsibilities
  • Refreshing your knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures
  • Ensuring compliance with current WorkSafe WA requirements

All participants are required to complete this short gap training to ensure their knowledge aligns with current legislation.

Course fee: $80

Upon successful completion, participants will receive:

  • A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
  • A WorkSafe WA accredited White Card

To apply for this program, you must provide:

  • A copy of your WA Blue Card
  • Evidence of current or recent work in the construction industry (e.g. recent payslips, a letter from your employer confirming your role and dates of employment, or other employment records)

The course is designed as a short gap training session. Duration may vary depending on your experience and language level.

Yes, the WorkSafe WA White Card is recognised across all Australian states and territories.

How long will it take to receive my White Card?

Your White Card is typically available for collection shortly after you successfully complete the course. Cards can be collected from our offices in Northbridge or Malaga (by prior appointment), with same-day collection available up to 3:00pm.
